You'd better go in disguise!
For every bear that ever there was

Because today's the day the
Teddy Bears have their picnic.

And that's exactly what we did. Our teddy bears went to the picnic with us and what a wonderful time we had. But where did we have our picnic? Don't worry...we didn't go down to the woods but we DID go down to our very own playground which we pretended to be a park (as we were learning about parks in Singapore). There, we played games and had a great time on the obstacle course. We especially enjoyed parachute play and playing hide and seek with our teddy bears. After all that play, everyone was hungry and ready to gather for the picnic where we ate our delicious snack. Whilst enjoying our picnic, we listened attentively to the story 'The Teddy Bear's Picnic' by Jimmy Kennedy and what a lovely story it was. At the end of the picnic, we remembered to tidy up the 'park' by picking up all the litter and throwing it into the bin. We were so tired from all the wonderful things we did at the picnic but we still had the energy to sing the “The Teddy Bear's song” as we skipped all the way back to our classroom. Great job, everyone...as well as the teddy bears for being such great company!
