This week, the children decided on what to do for cookery and they chose to make sandwiches. They also agreed on the sandwich fillings – tuna, egg, jam, cheese and baby tomatoes. It was amazing to see them prepare their sandwiches. Some had egg and cheese, some made both tuna and egg mayo sandwiches and some chose to only spread strawberry jam on theirs. Interesting! Good job, big boys and girls! I’m sure you can now prepare your own sandwiches at home.
Last week, the children had an enjoyable time watching ‘The Three Little Pigs’ presented by the Players Theatre and the Players Workshop. They were delighted to see the three little pigs and the big bad wolf!
During the performance, the children went on an exciting adventure with the three little pigs as each of them built their house of straw, sticks and bricks. In the beginning, they learnt valuable morals from one of the pigs. When the big bad wolf appeared on stage, everyone warned the pigs about the big bad wolf (the pigs didn’t know what a wolf is) that was hungry and wanted to eat the pigs. He tried to trick them by offering presents but the children did an amazing job of helping the pigs chase the wolf away by reminding them, ‘Don’t talk to strangers’ and ‘Don’t take presents from strangers’. In the end, the wolf gave up because the children did a great job! Thank you Players Theatre and the Players Workshop for presenting to us such a wonderful performance!
