Signing with your baby 

Some parents of babies with normal hearing use sign language to communicate with their babies before they can talk. It seems that babies, whether hearing or deaf, who have learnt to sign their needs and wants to their parents are less frustrated and less demanding as a result. Just think - you could avoid those toddler tantrums!
