Vest
Dear parents,
The children were sent home with 2 pieces of vanguard paper. Kindly wrap both of them in aluminium foil. After that, you may decorate them with all sorts of materials turning them into a robot vest. 1 piece is for the front of the vest and the other piece is for the back. You do not need to attach them together.
Here are some suggestions on how you may decorate them.

Hari Raya and Racial Harmony Day
Today we celebrated Hari Raya and Racial Harmony Day.
We learnt about why we celebrate Hari Raya and Racial Harmony Day, made a Ketupat craft, sang and danced, and watched a performance by our teachers. It was a day of celebrating diversity. We will always respect and care for one another!

Learning Journey
It was a lovely day at Yumin Primary School. Upon arrival, the children were warmly welcomed by the school teachers and students. The children headed to the P1 Respect classroom and were all paired up with a buddy. Their buddies made them feel comfortable by sharing their desks. During the classroom experience, the teacher read a story and played a game on the interactive whiteboard. The children learnt to wait patiently for their turns with their hands raised. They also did a colouring activity with their buddies at the desks.
Next, the children adjourned to the Assembly Hall to watch a performance and do a workout. After that, they walked to the canteen for recess. Their buddies did an excellent job of guiding them; for example, by washing their hands before snacktime, buying food from the stalls, and clearing away their empty plates. They showed them where the toilet was and what activities they could do afterwards.
After recess, the children gathered outside the canteen to say goodbye. Their buddies presented them with a parting gift - stickers! The British Council students received more than just stickers today. They learnt about values such as independence, responsibility, and patience.
